Journal Instructions

FORMAT FOR JOURNAL ENTRIES: 

  1. Your journal heading should be at the top left corner of the page. It should include your name, the journal number, the date and course and section numbers.
  1. At the top of the journal entry, state what the journal entry is about. You may refer directly to the journal assignment.
  1. Journals are writings to help you think about issues, gather material for essays or develop your understanding of works read in class. You can write your own thoughts in your own way.
  1. Type your journal response. Responses must be in 12-point type and be double-spaced. They must be 1-2 pages long.
  1. Journal entries must be kept in a binder or folder and be submitted periodically during the semester. Some journal entries also may be collected in class individually.
