Impact of the Mass Media: Life Without the Media Report

Write an essay, minimum length two pages, in which you imagine/describe what life (your life) would be like without mass media: no television, no radio, no film, no newspapers and no magazines, but also no recordings (CD's), no books, no billboards -- no mass media in any form. Consider the following as you plan your paper:

1. How would your day be affected?

2. What impact would lack of mass media have on

a. schools/education

b. politics

c. leisure time

d. any consumer goods (brand name clothing, for example)

e. research (medical research, for example)

f. communication, language, dialects

g. the economy

Also discuss the impact on any other areas you consider significant.
