Reading assignment to be announced. Discussion of assigned readings and
Essay 1. (Friday, August 28: Last day to drop the course for a refund).
Week 3 (August 30-September 5)
Discussion of assigned readings, cont. Draft of Essay 1 due for peer
critique. Peer critiques of Essay 1.
Week 4 (September 6-12)
Peer critiques of Essay 1, cont. Continued discussion of Essay 1. No class Monday, September 7 (Labor
Day).
Week 5 (September 13-19)
Revised Draft of Essay 1 due. Reading assignment to be announced.
Discussion of Essay 2 and assigned readings.
Week 6 (September 20-26)
Continued discussion of Essay 2 and assigned readings. Draft of
Essay 2 due for peer critique. Peer critiques of Essay 2.
Week 7
(September 27-October 3)
Continued discussion of Essay 2. Revised Draft of Essay 2 due.
Reading assignment to be announced.
Week 8 (October 4-10)
Discussion of Essay 3 and assigned readings. No class Friday, October 9 ("Employee Enrichment
Day").
Week 9 (October 11-17)
Continued discussion of Essay 3 and assigned readings. Discussion of MLA
documentation style. Draft of Essay 3 due for peer critique. Peer
critiques of Essay 3.

Week 10 (October 18-24)
Revised draft of Essay 3 due. Reading assignment to be
announced. Discussion of Essay 4.
Week 11
(October 25-31)
Continued Discussion of Essay 4.
Week 12 (November 1-7)
Draft of Essay 4 due for peer critique. Peer critiques of Essay 4.
(Friday, November 6: Last day for student withdrawal from the course).
Week 13 (November 8-14)
Revised draft of Essay 4 due. Work on Final Revisions. No
class Wednesday, November 11 (Veterans Day).
Week 14 (November 15-21)
Work on Final Revisions, cont.
Week 15 (November 22-28)
Work on Final Revisions, cont. No class Wednesday, November 25, to Friday,
November 27 (Thanksgiving Break).
Week 16 (November 29-December 5)
Two Final Revisions due. Discussion of the Final Exam.
Week 17 (December 6-12)
Continued discussion of the Final Exam. Final Exam due.
