STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND ALL CLASSES REGULARLY. IF ABSENCE FROM CLASS IS UNAVOIDABLE, IT IS THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO EXPLAIN THE ABSENCE TO HIS INSTRUCTOR AND ARRANGE TO COMPLETE ANY WORK MISSED.

IF AN INSTRUCTOR FEELS THE NUMBER OF ACCUMULATED ABSENCES IS INTERFERING WITH THE STUDENT'S PROGRESS AND ABILITY TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE COURSE, THE STUDENT MAY BE DROPPED FROM THE COURSE WITHOUT NOTICE.

                 If you miss more than 1/15 of the contact hours bad things will happen.  ( You or your grade may be dropped )

CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE: IVCC has adopted official policies which address student rights, academic integrity, and student code of conduct. These policies are outlined in the IVCC Student Handbook and they address such things as cheating, harassment, and verbal abuse. The listing will serve as a guideline for our class in terms of what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior. Please review the policies when you have time.

 CHEATING POLICY: Cheating is not tolerated and any student caught cheating will automatically receive a ZERO for that exam or quiz and may be withdrawn from the course. 

NOTICE TO STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES:  If you are a student with a cognitive, physical or psychiatric disability you may be eligible for academic support services such as extended test time, texts on tape, note-taking services, etc.... If you are interested in receiving academic support services, please contact the Special Populations Office at 224-0284, office B-204 and inform your instructors.  Also, please speak with me during the first week of class so I can offer any assistance as your instructor.
