IVCC is proud to offer an Honors Program designed for and by our students! Our program offers many benefits: tuition waivers, specialized classes, smaller class sizes, personalized career/education guidance, distinction on transcripts, and much, much more.

Application Information

Students who would like to be considered for admission to the IVCC Honors Program can apply at any time. However, the application deadline for fall 2018 admission is Thursday, August 30. To find out how to apply, please click here.

Honors Program Publication by IVCC President

Special congratulations are due to IVCC President Jerry Corcoran, who recently had an article about our Honors Program published in the peer-reviewed periodical Journal of the National Collegiate Honors Council. Honoring Our Own: Transfer Students

Congratulations to all of our graduates transferring to four-year institutions. Over the last few years, our honors students have transferred to Johns Hopkins University, Washington University in St. Louis, Emerson College, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Lewis University, Trine University, Eureka College, Northern Illinois University, and more. Well done!

Honoring Our Own: Jacob A. Hall & Matthew Pehoski

Congratulations to Jacob A. Hall, the 2018 recipient of the William and Dian Taylor STEM Award to Northern Illinois University and two-time presenter at the Honors Council of the Illinois Region Student Spring Symposium.

Congratulations are also due to Matthew Pehoski, the 2018 recipient of the William and Dian Taylor Accountancy Award to Northern Illinois University. This scholarship will cover full tuition and fees for his junior year and is renewable for his senior year.

Best wishes to Jacob and Matthew as they continue their studies. We'll miss you!
