     ENG103, Creative Writing, is designed to be a general introduction to the writing of fiction, poetry, and perhaps plays, film scripts, or creative non-fiction. Beginning and experienced writers alike will have a chance to focus on the genre that most interests them, and can shape the course of "Ill Valley," the Web-based Soap Opera. Students will engage in valuable writing exercises, engage in an active and intensive workshopping of new material, and will get advice on submitting material for publication. At the end of the semester, students will have generated and revised a substantial portfolio of work.
