I am thankful for being the recipient of the Illinois Valley Community College Faculty Excellence Award for 2006.

The Faculty Excellence Award is given annually to one faculty member who exhibits excellence in teaching, student involvement, and service to the college and community.  Winners of the Faculty Excellence Award are nominated for a national award given by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD). 

I have my roots in two places: India and Illinois Valley. I love them both! Kamla High School, National College, and Gujarat University teachers will always mean a lot to me, as will my colleagues and students at IVCC.
