LYNCH'S HOME PAGE Over Textbook Assignments
You may earn extra credit for quizzes over textbook chapters/sections. Each quiz is worth one-third point -- one-third percent -- on the semester grade.
To qualify for the extra credit, a quiz must meet ALL of the following regulations:
1. All questions on a quiz must be answered and all answers on a quiz must be correct; no partial credit will be awarded. Correctness of answers will be judged solely on the basis of material in the assigned chapter or section of the textbook.
2. Answers may be handwritten (but must be readable) or keyboarded, but the answers must either be on a print out of the quiz from the Web page or be stapled to a print out of the quiz from the Web page.
3. A quiz must be submitted on the date on which the chapter/section is assigned on the course schedule or within a week of that date -- one week before or one week after -- NO EXCEPTIONS
The quizzes are available by following links on my Web page (www.ivcc.edu/lynch) to your class material. To find the correct quiz, check your class schedule which lists textbook reading assignments. The date on which a chapter/section is listed in the class schedule is the date for which that reading is assigned. If, for example, the schedule for a March 1 class includes a notation to Ch. 4, that chapter is assigned for March 1; you are expected to read that chapter by March 1, and an extra credit Web page quiz for that chapter must be submitted between April 25 and March 8.
