You will need to have a clearly labeled poster to present to the class.  These will be posted in the hall, so do a nice job.
QUESTION FOR DISCUSSION

What are your candidates positions on the following issues: (see below for candidate assignments)

Federal candidates:

  • Should we increase the amount of recycling?  How can this be accomplished?
  • What is their policy on regulation of air pollution?  How do they plan to ensure clean air?
  • What is their policy on the use of petroleum (oil)?  (may include: positions on drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, reliance on imports, drilling in California and Florida coastal waters)
  • What is their position on the disposal of nuclear waste?  (Including, but not limited to Yucca Mountain)

State candidates:

  • Should we increase the amount of recycling?  How can this be accomplished?
  • Should we increase the use of public transportation?  How can this be accomplished?
  • What is their policy on regulation of water pollution?  How do they plan to ensure clean water?
  • What is their position on the regulation of wetlands?  Should they be preserved?  If so, how?
