Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship
Admission to DePaul University for the Fall term must be granted
by the scholarship deadline of April 1 in order for a student's
scholarship application to be considered. Consideration does not
guarantee an award. A student must be transferring from a
community college and entering a traditional undergraduate
program at DePaul. A minimum transferrable 3.5 GPA and 30
semester credit hours are required at the time of admission to
DePaul (the transferrable GPA and/or hours cannot be in progress
and both measures are determined by DePaul). Proof of Phi Theta
Kappa membership must be provided. A complete scholarship
application must be on file by April 1st to be considered.
Applications are available for downloading on DePaul's Web site
at www.depaul.edu/scholarships. Students with previous
bachelor's degrees or those entering in a term other than Fall
are not eligible. Currently enrolled students are not eligible.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Phi Theta Kappa scholarships are offered to students who are
members of Phi Theta Kappa, and have earned a cumulative
transfer grade point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale at the time
of application. Renewal of these scholarships requires full-time
enrollment and the maintenance of the grade-point average needed
for the academic scholarship awarded. The scholarship is valued
at $1,000 and can be added to the Transfer or Music scholarship
funds offered by the college. Students must provide official
college transcripts confirming Phi Theta Kappa membership at the
time of application to be considered for this award.

Transfer Achievement Scholarship
Scholarships range in value from $7,000 to $11,000 per year and
require the maintenance of a 3.0 grade point average and full
time enrollment. To be considered for an Achievement Scholarship
students must have earned at least 32 semester hours of
transferable college credit and a cumulative grade point average
of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.

Community College Transfer/Phi Theta Kappa Recognition
Scholarship
Scholarships are valued at $3,000, distributed in increments of
$ 750.00 during the fall and spring semester for two years. A
minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and an A.A. or A.S. degree is
required to participate in the scholarship competition.
Part-time students and students with previous bachelor's degrees
are not eligible. A 500-word essay is required. Student must
enroll immediately following two-year college to be eligible to
compete for this scholarship.

$10,000 per year ($20,000 over two years) to two outstanding
students from every community college in the state of Illinois.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Phi Theta Kappa scholarship will be awarded to nine new
recipients each academic year. $1,000 per term/maximum $4,000
per academic year for full-time students admitted with and
maintaining a 3.5 GPA. $1,700 per term/maximum $6,800 per
academic year for full-time students admitted with and
maintaining a 3.75 GPA. Student must fill out a Phi Theta Kappa
scholarship application and be a member in good standing.
Student must have full admission to National-Louis University
prior to initial enrollment. A minimum of 45 quarter hours/30
semester hours of accepted transferable college credit and

Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship
A limited number of scholarships with awards up to $7,200
towards the completion of a bachelor degree. The scholarship
will be disbursed over no more than 6 quarters. A 3.5 GPA and 43
semester transfer hours are required. Part-time students and

For exceptional new students planning to enroll full-time. The

Roosevelt Scholars Program

Scholars Program Application and be accepted into the Roosevelt

Transfer Scholarship for Full-time Students
An unlimited number of renewable $2,000-$8,500 per year

Senior Institution Transfer Scholarships
Phi Theta Kappa expends much time and effort into its program to secure scholarships for Phi Theta Kappa members planning to transfer to senior institutions. Nearly 600 colleges and universities in the United States and Canada offer more than $36 million in transfer scholarships to Phi Theta Kappa members. Visit getconnected.ptk.org.
All-USA Academic Team Scholarships
The All-USA Academic Team program annually recognizes 60 outstanding two-year college students. First, Second and Third Teams, each consisting of 20 members, are selected. The 20 First Team members receive scholarship awards of $2,500 each. All 60 members of the All- USAAcademic Team and their colleges receive extensive national recognition through coverage in USA TODAY. Selection is based on nominations submitted by community college presidents or campus CEOs, who receive nomination materials in the fall. Phi Theta Kappa, USA TODAY and the American Association of Community Colleges sponsor the All-USA Academic Team program annually. To be eligible, a student must attain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA and be eligible to graduate with an associate’s degree in the academic year nominated.
All-State Academic Teams
Phi Theta Kappa, two-year college presidents and community college state associations co-sponsor All-State Academic recognition programs in 35 states. Students nominated to the All-USA Academic Team are automatically named to the All-State Academic Team in participating states.
Guistwhite Scholarships
Scholarship awards totaling $100,000 annually are presented to Phi Theta Kappa members through the Guistwhite Scholarship Program. The awards are named in honor of Dr. Jack Guistwhite and his wife, Margaret. Dr. Guistwhite developed the first transfer scholarship designated exclusively for Phi Theta Kappa members. Twenty qualifying students will receive scholarships of $5,000 each for completion of baccalaureate degrees. To be eligible, a student must attain a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and must graduate with an associate’s degree during the academic year of application. Visit scholarships.ptk.org.
Leaders of Promise Scholarships
Leaders of Promise is the Society’s first scholarship program available to members to be used during the time they are enrolled in their community colleges. A total of 30 scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded based on applications submitted by members. To be eligible, a student must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa in good standing and currently enrolled in an associate’s degree program, with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on all associate degree course work. Students who have completed more than 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) of course work and students already holding degrees from community colleges or senior institutions are not eligible. National Dean’s List
Phi Theta Kappa is the only two-year college honor society whose members are automatically nominated for inclusion in this prestigious publication of outstanding students in two-year, four-year and graduate degree programs. Phi Theta Kappa members who submit biographical data forms to the National Dean’s List become eligible for one of 50 scholarships of $250 each. National Dean’s List Scholarship recipients are selected at random from among only those who return biographical information to the National Dean’s List. Biographical forms are automatically mailed in June of each year to members inducted in the past 12 months.
